UF/IFAS� CITRUS �GREENING� BATTLE PLANS!

As 2007 begins for the �Gulf� citrus growers�growers face a �good news� �bad news� scenario!  The �good news� is the strong �on-tree� fruit prices and the possibility for a profitable season!  The �bad news� is the baffling situation of dealing with Citrus Greening (Huanglongbing)!   

Growers and most segments of the industry are in the process of shifting priorities to focus on the new bacterial disease, Citrus Greening! ONE of the key facts that we know about �Greening� is that scientists throughout the world�do not know much about it!  However, in spite of this situation,  UF/IFAS research and extension personnel are actively engaged in the surveillance and reconnaissance phases of fighting the disease.

Please join us for lunch, SPONSORED BY BAYER CROPSCIENCE, and an up-to-date �overview� of the Citrus Greening disease, including the latest issues and information available, to be presented by the UF/IFAS� �Green Team�!  You won�t want to miss this presentation!
